I am writing to provide you with an update on the COVID-19 situation in NSW and the support that we need from you to ensure that we continue to deliver a safe shopping environment for our customers and workplace for our team members.
The situation in NSW remains challenging with stay-at-home orders now in place across Greater Sydney and much of regional NSW. Since Coles supermarkets are an essential service, Coles and supplier team members who perform work that is essential for Coles continued operations, will continue to be able to travel for that purpose.
Updated guidance for NSW:
To limit the risk of exposure to COVID-19 across our stores, we have now restricted the visitation access for all contractors to our stores in NSW. Our previous direction was to reduce store visitation to one store visit per day for essential visits only. As we continue to follow government health advice, we have revised this direction to only permitting pre-approved contractors or visitors to attend stores. If you are one of these pre-approved contractors, you would have already had confirmation from your category manager. If you are not a pre-approved contractor, please immediately cancel all visits to Coles stores in NSW.
