We have established a number of documents that all suppliers must follow when delivering products or dealing with issues in order to not compromise the quality and safety of products supplied to Coles.
These requirements apply to all suppliers including Proprietary Brand and Coles Brand suppliers of fresh produce, food and non-food products including general merchandise, apparel and home textile products:
Any of the additional Coles requirements do not replace the need for compliance to all relevant legal requirements in Australia and in the country of manufacture. Compliance to the Coles requirements is in addition to the duty held by the supplier to produce safe and legal products.
As one of Australia's leading retailers and employers, we are committed to the communities in which we live and operate and to ensure we integrate good corporate behaviour in every aspect of our operations. Our values and behaviours provide a framework for how we do business, and to ensure our supplier relationships are both commercially and ethically responsible.
We are committed to the safe and ethical manufacture and supply of goods and services. The Ethical Sourcing Policy and Requirements set out minimum requirements and expectations that all suppliers, including sub-contractors engaged by suppliers, must meet in order to do business with us.
Additional Requirements - All Food Suppliers
These requirements apply to all suppliers including Proprietary Brand and Coles Brand of fresh produce and chilled, frozen and ambient food products supplied to Coles.
